Visit Yucatan, Mexico: Mayan Ruins, Colonial Cities, Turquoise Sea

Digg This !

I joined for a long week end (close to a week actually: 6 days) my father and sister in the Yucatan, Mexico. Pictures are here.

Tulum, Mexico

It was a wonderful trip and I didn’t expect it to be so nice: I thought it was a very touristic region, and we traveled during the rainy season. We actually had a wonderful weather (wonderful for the region: so still warm and humid, but bearable) and the mass-tourism is concentrated on certain beaches (Cancun, Playa del Carmen) and sites (CobĂ , Chichen Itza). Here is a suggested itinerary of what to do for a long week end in the Yucatan ! Continue reading ‘Visit Yucatan, Mexico: Mayan Ruins, Colonial Cities, Turquoise Sea’

New Apple iPhone 3G and the (re)boosted iPhone 2G market

Digg This !

I just came back from a wonderful wedding near Lyon, France last week-end in a wonderful castle, the Chateau De Chavagneux. I was discussing with family and friends the Apple passion (hysteria?) happening right now, and my father told me that maybe he could try the iPhone 2g now (this is his phone, I hide myself when he uses it, I am afraid that it might explode …), and that it might be a good time to buy one.

Definite (non-)tourist guide to visit New York City

Or: What to do in New York with your mom ??

I know, this is a difficult question. For some, it’s even more difficult when it comes to your mother in law, although the solutions are more simple: loose her in the Ramble of Central Park or enroll her on a hot-dog-eating contest and forget to bring her water. But you don’t want that for your mom, of course.

Twitbin and twitter’s quota ?

Digg This !

Twitbin quotaI’m trying to be more “present” on Twitter. Until now, I’ve been a silent follower / spectator.

I followed mainly through the Gmail chat client, and when I’m off grid receive all the updates by email. I filter through the twitter-noise and try to get the important updates (market intelligence, benchmark, locations, …).

So I just installed Twitbin, and it didn’t last hald an hour until I got the “Unfortunately you’ve exceeded Twitter’s maximum hourly requests.“.

Yeehaa, I am off to a great start !

Well, no iPhone 3G for me, I guess !

Digg This !

With that heavy pricing, and the mandatory activation, I am less and less inclined to buy the new iPhone 3G !
