At the end of november, an accident between a police car and a mini-motorbike left two teenagers on the ground. The same night, as well as the following ones, Villiers-Le-Bel, a suburb 20mn from Paris where the accident happened, became the stage of violent riots between the police and local youths. As always, molotov cocktails were launched at the police, washing machines carcasses and heavy steel balls were falling from the roofs on the firemen, cars were being burnt - the usual.
But something new happened, which never happened before to this extent: 86 policemen were bullet-wound.
I tend to believe that we might have arrived at a state of lawless enclaves in some dangerous areas or suburbs around Paris, Lyon, Marseille,. No-law zones were civil rights, republic laws and democracy respect are forgotten.
This is a very complex subject, and I am no one to write about it. However, when I saw those usual ads in the subway (49th Street Station on W / R), it had a different taste.
