Didn’t know about the very useful first one, so it might help others … The second one is just geeky stuff that I’ll use once in my life (and it was today).
1) Multiple selection in Gmail of consecutive emails.
=> Press SHIFT, select the first email in the list of emails you want to select, than the last one, as you would do for files in Windows Explorer.
2) Batch extension rename of files in DOS.
=> Open the command dialog, reach the folder containing the files you want to rename, and then the command is Ren [old_filename] [new_filename]. Use ? as wild card for characters.
Ex: To rename DSC_0123.JPG into DSC_0123.jpeg, type the following: Ren DSC_????.JPG DSC_????.jpeg.
