4M iPhones sold

4M iPhones sold, that’s what Steve Jobs announced yesterday at the MacWorld 2008 keynote.

4M, in 200 days. That’s something like $1.5 or $2 billions (*) only in sales. $2 billions in 200 days, $10M revenues a day since last june in iPhone sales.

How many products in history have achieved such results ?

(*) Not knowing the commission received from the mobile operators nor the breakdown in sales before/after the price decrease.

This morning, we were discussing politics during coffee - and I guess this will be my daily bread for the next 8 months.

I understand what the primaries and caucuses are, and I was wondering what the result would be. Well the discussion goes on and on and on, and I am horrified to discover that I know more than the people around me - and i don’t know much !

MacWorld 2008 Steve Jobs’ Keynote. And ?

My first reaction watching the keynote can be summarized like this: When I grow up, I wanna be Steve Jobs doing a keynote.
I thought about the iPod, the G4, the iPhone, the MacBook Pro, an entire audience
waiting for the announcment of the launch of a new buzz product that will kindle the entire press for months. The announcement of the iPhone being, for me, one of the best shows Steve has given so far (remember? the last moments before he spit it: “An iPod, A Phone, And A Internet Communicator. An iPod, A Phone, And A Internet …..”).
