Fabrice Grinda: his first company & first funding

I’m catching up on Fabrice Grinda’s articles, and have been absorbed by two of them.

The first post is about Fabrice’s first company, Princeton International Computers (PIC), that sold high-end computer parts to Europe, benefiting of the price/time difference. Fabrice tells us he learned business through PIC, and that PIC eventually brought him the funds to start his second company, Aucland.

In the second post, Fabrice tells the story of his first funding for Aucland, en eBay equivalent he launched in the late 90s in western Europe. Fabrice raised $18M, the largest round ever for a web company in the French industry. I remember very well Aucland, it got huge traction and PR. Also, at the time, Aucland had one of the best commercial ever !

Great insight, go read it !
