I saw a cool feature on Twitturly that allows visitors to tweet a story quickly and easily from the site itself.
So yesterday evening, I put my amateur dev gloves again and quickly put together a piece of code that allows any visitor on My Life Sucks …. Big Time !!! to tweet a story from an ad-hoc form.
So now you just have to click on that “Tweet This” link, provide your login info (which I don’t store, of course), keep the suggested message or modify it, and Boom! - you’re done.
The idea is to make is as simple and seamless as possible, so: 1) there is no popup but a layer (thickbox) opening, 2) there is only one page on the form.
The form actually looks like this:
In my next post, I’ll describe in details how did that very simple applet, and in the meantime, Go check it out now !
