I quit smoking about 6 months ago, and I started again to go to the gym, run, play squash.
Side note (while I am there): quiting smoking was VERY easy. And I was a heavy smoker: I started around 12 (16 years ago, i know, bad bad bad), smoked a pack a day as of 18, quit for one year at 21, at 22 started again and went up to a pack and a half on average until last December. I tried a new pill I heard was great, called Chantix in the US (Champix in Europe). It basically tells your brain that you don’t enjoy smoking, and is fast: 15 days from the day I started taking the pill to the day I smoked my last cigarette.
So back to the subject: I now play squash once a week minimum but usually twice or three time (any players ??), go to the gym at least once a week, and since May run two times a week.
And yesterday for the first time, I RAN OVER SIX MILES IN 55mn ! I know this is not amazing for regular runners, but for me it is ;)
Ok, done with the useless unexciting news ;)
